The term "Unit Block"  means that the dimensions of the blocks are proportional.  For example: two thin blocks equal the thickness of one thick block and two short blocks equal the length of one long block.  This makes construction more logical and has the added effect of teaching mathematical fractions in a painless and even fun way!

Our Unit Blocks are made of select yellow pine.  Each block is hand-cut, belt-sanded, edge-routed and then hand-sanded.  They are smooth but left unfinished which provides just enough friction to make tall structures more stable.  The standard unit of our blocks is 1 3/8" by 2 3/4" by 2 3/4".  Our sets contain 15 different shapes, are available in two sizes and come in wheeled storage canisters.  For ages 12 months to adult!  50 piece set $115.00 (pictured) / 100 piece set $225.00

Our Alphabet Blocks are manufactured by Melissa and Doug.  They measure 1 3/16" " by 1 3/16", are embossed on two side, and stamped on the other four sides.  There are 50 blocks in the set that includes all letters of the alphabet, numbers from 0 to 9 and mathematical symbols.  We have build a sturdy pine box of our own design to house these high-quality blocks for many generations of play and learning.  For ages 12  months and up.  $32.00
